FAQ's

Which areas do you cover?

Magic Door Education Ltd is based in North Staffordshire. We'll travel within a 2 hour radius to deliver an outreach workshop. This includes (but isn't limited to): Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, West Midlands, South Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, parts of North Wales and Warwickshire. Get in touch to find out if we can travel to you!

How long are your workshops?

Our outreach workshops run from 9am-3pm around your usual school breaktime and lunchtime.

How many children can take part?

We can accommodate cohorts of up to 90 children per outreach workshop for the full day.

How are the outreach workshops structured?

For groups of one class (up to approx. 30 children), we work with the group for the full day.

What about larger groups?

To ensure that larger cohorts don't miss out on a full day's workshop, for groups larger than one class, the day is structured around a variety of whole cohort and class-size activities, some of which are teacher-led. This ensures that the children get plenty of input with us, but also get lots of chances to get hands-on with our artefacts and resources by accessing their learning in smaller groups.

These teacher-led sessions are fully planned and resourced by Magic Door Education Ltd and provided in advance to the teachers. As a teacher myself, I have worked hard to make sure that these session plans are straightforward and simple to follow. After all, you're paying for someone else to do the planning and preparation! We also lead a briefing with staff on the morning of the workshop to run through sessions and to ensure every is happy.

This means you get a full day workshop for up to 90 children, packed with excellent resources in the convenience of your school setting.

Don't just take our word for it, read our testimonials to see what some schools have had to say about our workshops.

What about risk assessments?

All of our workshops are fully risk-assessed by us which means less paperwork for you!

How much are your workshops?

Prices are based on group size plus travel from our base in North Staffordshire. Please get in touch for a quote for your school.

How do I make a booking?
