About Us
Welcome to Magic Door Education! My name is Emma Taylor, Director of Magic Door Education Ltd and workshop teacher.
I'm an experienced primary school teacher, both in mainstream and special education, and am passionate about firing imaginations and getting children excited about the past!
Our workshops
The most enjoyable part of being a teacher has always been seeing children’s faces light up with excitement about their learning. Teaching through a creative curriculum and providing children with real, tangible objects and experiences has never failed to develop superb enquiry skills and subject knowledge.
Magic Door Education promises to bring a plethora of exciting objects, sights, sounds and smells to your school to enhance the learning of history for your pupils. Our workshops focus on hands-on exploration because we believe that children learn best when they are actively involved.
Allow us to reduce the paperwork of risk assessments and the cost of transport to give you a full school day of immersive history learning at your school.
SEND
From experience as a class teacher in special schools to being a SENDCO in mainstream, I understand that all of our learners are different. I also understand that sometimes, experiences can be too stimulating and a sensory-overload. I am more than happy to adapt workshops to ensure that they are engaging and appropriate to your class.
Our workshops bring the history to you; reducing the paperwork for being off-site whilst being surrounded by the familiarity and facilities of school.
Please contact me to let me know about the individual needs of your learners so we can discuss how workshops can be tailored to best suit your pupils. I can produce materials in a dyslexia-friendly format or in a clear words and pictures format.
